The foundation of Mark’s expertise as a General Surgeon was laid during his one-year traditional internship, followed by a four-year residency at Metro Health Hospital in Wyoming, Michigan. His commitment to his profession prompted him to offer medical care beyond the realms of a traditional surgeon, expanding into areas of Urology, Neurosurgery, Interventional Radiology, ENT, and Orthopedics at times when those services were not available while serving in a remote, underfunded hospital on the Pacific island of Saipan.

His career also allowed him to share his knowledge and abilities with others, from teaching healthcare students in Washington, volunteering for humanitarian missions in Guatemala, and serving on various medical committees in Saipan. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mark maintains a transparent connection with his community, offering public lectures on surgical topics and volunteering for local animal shelters.
